We are delighted that you are considering being married at Saint Andrew’s! Our beautiful, sacred space has been the setting for many joyous weddings for 70 years.

Our Wedding Coordinator on staff, Lauren Fitzpatrick, can assist you with your planning efforts, and advise you in the traditions of The Episcopal Church. Setting up a meeting to discuss your interest and potential dates will be the first step. From there, we’ll do our best to work with you regarding timelines to check availability and confirm the agreed upon date. As all of our facilities are shared with our school community, the earlier we’re informed of your ideal date, the better. We’ll also share the essential requirements as we learn your desires and needs, and pass on important information that will ensure a smooth day for your special celebration.

 

As you prepare, it’s important to note that at least one of the parties must be a baptized Christian, premarital counseling is required, the ceremony must be officiated by an Episcopal priest, and if a divorced person wishes to remarry, permission from the bishop is necessary. In whatever way is needed, Saint Andrew’s clergy and staff can help you with each of these aspects. And although being a member of Saint Andrew’s is not a requirement, we sincerely hope that each couple will consider becoming a part of the Saint Andrew’s community. 

Additionally, our Director of Music, Michael Burroughs, who manages our instruments and normally plays at events, can assist in the selection of appropriate music, learn your preferences, and will advise on available instruments and accompaniment, and particularly if you are interested in working with other musicians. Saint Andrew’s also works with a professional florist, who can be booked and also work with Lauren to advise on our guidelines.

Following the ceremony, receptions are also possible at Saint Andrew’s in our Center, adjacent to the church. If interested, just let us know and we’ll provide all of the additional details to use and reserve this space.
