Christian Education

At Saint Andrew’s, we encourage exploring the big questions in life – all about God, our own spirituality, our greater purpose on earth, and how we understand and interact in meaningful ways with the world around us.

By following our curiosity, we gain insights wherever we are on our individual spiritual journeys. Our various programs will meet you where you are. Clergy and lay ministers guide discussions, inspire reflection, and share knowledge in support of faith formation.

Adult Confirmation, Reception and Reaffirmation

Adult Confirmation is an opportunity for those who are already baptized to take a formal step in their commitment towards the Episcopal Church. Through in person classes, our staff helps prepare each individual by teaching inner spiritual practices to enrich their relationship with God. After completion, during a church service, the bishop will administer the sacramental rite of Confirmation.

Reception is for those who are already confirmed in another Christian denomination and would like to be received into the Episcopal tradition. Like Confirmation preparation though less extensive, in person classes will help individuals to deepen their faith, and the bishop will administer the sacramental rite of Reception.

Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows enables those who are already confirmed to renew their commitment to the Episcopal faith. During a church service, a candidate publicly reaffirms promises made at baptism, and the bishop will administer the sacramental rite of Reaffirmation.

Bible Study

Our weekly online Bible Study is led by clergy, where we discuss readings from different books of the Bible. This invites discussion about our daily lives, as we consider what intrigues us, inspires us, and how we can apply what we learn to our current experience. Meetings are every Thursday at 10am.
