Holy Baptism
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism is an entrance rite into the Church. Through it, we receive God’s grace and an indissoluble union with Christ. We believe one of the spiritual benefits of baptism is the forgiveness of sin. In the Episcopal Church, baptism is performed in the name of the Trinity and is administered only once, as we believe God’s promise is irrevocable. As long as you have been baptized in the name of the Trinity, we accept your baptism, regardless of which Christian denomination performed it.
Most baptisms take place four times each year, encouraged on these particular feast days: The Easter Vigil, The Day of Pentecost, All Saints’ Day, and the Baptism of Jesus. Services are before family, friends and the parish congregation, and Saint Andrew’s staff will assist you with the brief preparation and understanding about how the baptism will be performed.
