Blessing of the Animals, 10am

Parish Spotlight: Blessing of the Animals
Once again, we are looking forward to commemorating St. Francis Day with the annual Blessing of the Animals service next Sunday, October 5th at 10am. We encourage everyone to bring their pets -- truly all creatures great and small -- to receive a special blessing.
This is also a great day to invite family and neighbors, including kids and grandkids. Photos of animals can also be presented as a substitute, and if children don't have a pet, they can bring their favorite stuffed animals instead.
During this Season of Creation, it is an especially meaningful time of year to express our gratitude to God for nature and the wonderful pets in our lives that have become an essential part of our families.
We're also expecting horses this year, which is always exciting. Therefore, please try to arrive early, by 9:45am. It will help us to easily accommodate everyone, including these larger creatures, and make room for the extra cages and carriers we expect, as well as all animals on leashes.
As always, we'll look forward to enjoying coffee together after the service, and meeting the furry members of your families.
