It's a sure thing! Have you ever banked on a "sure thing" so much so that the possibility that it would not happen had completely left your mind?
Schedule of Worship Services
The worship services at Saint Andrew’s are filled with the grace of the Holy Spirit. And because that grace takes many forms, so do our services.
We offer three weekend worship services, which range from traditional to contemporary, and a midday service during the week. In addition, we take Communion services to residents of nearby retirement communities, and Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School holds daily (except Friday) chapels for students, faculty, and staff.
Saturday 5:30 p.m. – Informal Eucharist
Our Saturday service has come to be known as “Saturday Night Live.” Held in our Memorial Chapel in the south transept, this “come as you are” service is characterized by a creative liturgy and a casual setting around a large area rug where children play with toys. The one-hour service includes hymns, sung liturgy, and a sermon. Prayers for peace are offered prior to the service; healing prayer afterward.
Sunday 8 a.m. – Traditional Eucharist
Our 8 a.m. Sunday service is a traditional, 45-minute spoken service held in the chapel in the north transept. It is a simple, formal Eucharist with a single hymn during the offertory. Typically, a Rite II liturgy is used; occasionally Rite I is used. This service lasts less than an hour and healing prayer is available afterward.
Sunday 9 a.m. – Young At Heart
A worship service for children 0-8, their parents and anyone else who thinks of themselves as young at heart. This service includes interactive songs, body movement, creative stories about the Sunday lesson, confession stones, Eucharist, colored prayers by the participants. Come and join us for this service in the Nursery.
Sunday 10 a.m. – Choral Eucharist
This one-hour, 15-minute service is attended by the majority of parishioners. Using Rite II liturgy, it showcases a formal processional, pipe organ, and full choir (except during summer recess). Once a month, music is provided by our folk musicians. Healing prayer is available after the service.
Wednesday 11:45 a.m. – Spoken Eucharist
This contemplative, half-hour Eucharist is a simple Rite II liturgy without sermon.
