Saint Andrew's Adult Choir
The Saint Andrew's Choir is composed of 45 volunteer members, ranging in age from young adult to older adult, who sing for the 10 A.M.Eucharist on Sundays during the months of September through June, and for all special celebrations throughout the church year. In addition, the choir leads two choral evensongs a year.
The group sings anthems in English, Latin, German, French, and Hebrew, and once a year gives a major performance with the Saratoga Symphony. Our presentation for Spring 2006 was an amazing presentation of John Rutter's Mass of the Children in celebration of the composer's 60th birthday! Saint Andrew's Choir joined Ragazzi Boy's Chorus and Saratoga Symphony on March 19th.
The group has toured England and Scotland, performing in Canterbury Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral, and St. Giles Cathedral, Austria, The Czech Republic, Germany, and Hungary.
Currently we are seeking new members for our season.

Saint Andrew's Gloria Choir
The Saint Andrew's Gloria Choir offers, at the highest standard possible, praises to God through leadership in music and liturgy. The choir is comprised of members who are treble singers ranging from 2nd through 8th grades. All in this age group are welcome and no audition is required. We rehearse Sunday and Monday, sing once per month at the Family Eucharist service and on special occasions. In addition, we have performed a full length musical for the past two years. Members participate in the Christmas Pageant and Family Celebration of Easter each year. Parents take turns bringing snacks, supervising, helping with robes and are invited to all rehearsals.

What is the overall purpose of this Children's Choir?
The purpose is to learn to sing with a group and share this joy of music with others. Training includes structured warm-ups, movement, rhythm, note reading, hymn study, choral technique, sight singing, and music liturgy. The repertoire consists of music in English, Latin and includes classical church music as well as modern compositions for treble voices. We also include various Orff instruments and tone chimes. Not only do we have fun, but we grow in community as we celebrate our God.
What activities does this Choir enjoy outside of rehearsals?
In addition to singing for worship, the Christmas Pageant, intergenerational musicals, special anthems for children and adults (with our adult choir), and Family Easter, we also love attending special concerts, outings and swim parties hosted by choir parents, singing for various care facilities, and choir retreats.
How can I get involved and how much time will I spend?
All children from grades 2 - 8 may be a part of this excellent and rewarding music program. Parents are welcome to attend all rehearsals. In fact, we encourage parents to attend! We rehearse for 45 minutes on Monday (3:30 - 4:15 PM) from September until early June and 45 minutes on Sunday (11:15 - 12 noon) also September - early June. Extra time is occasionally requested for special concerts/events. The ability to match pitch is essential.
Whom should I contact?
