Saint Andrew's Parish Care
Periodically some members of our parish have long- or short-term issues and needs. Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church tries to address these needs through the Parish Care Group. It does so in three ways. First, the group responds to referrals from the congregation and the clergy to provide short-term visits, meals, transportation and telephone calls in response to needs. It works closely with the Prayer Shawl group to provide tangible comfort to church members, their families and loved ones who are experiencing difficulties. Second, the Parish Care Group addresses the needs of the parish with educational forums on a monthly basis. These forums are intended to advance knowledge about health issues and to provide a basis of discussion within the parish. Third, the Parish Care group has trained individuals to provide continuing visits to church members who, due to health issues, cannot participate fully in church activities. Healing Ministry
The Healing Ministry Group at Saint Andrew's meets every two weeks on Wednesdays, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in Room 40. In preparation for chapter membership in The International Order of Saint Luke the Physician, the group is studying the Gospel accounts of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. This ecumenical order promotes the practice of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Convener: Alison Lucas

Koinon Prayer Team
KOINON is an at home prayer ministry for Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. KOINON is a Greek word meaning “Fellowship, Communication, and Caring.” The group currently has 20 members who pray daily for the thanksgivings, healing requests, and special concerns, not only for parish members, but also for the world at large. Chair: Kathy Kalm

Connections Ministry
The Saint Andrew's Pastoral Care Ministry Group provides various sources of support to parishioners. We also want to reach out to members of our congregation who have been missed from services and other activities, in case we can help them in some way. Our new Connections Ministry will be led by Marian Abbott and Mary Stradner. If you know of someone who has been absent from church services or has not been participating in regular activities, please let us know so that we can seek a way to communicate. We may be able to provide some assistance to encourage them to return to regular activities in our congregation. Everyone is important to us.

Emergency Preparedness
This group was established to assist parishioners, church, school, and the greater community in preparing for and responding to a disaster, and to help Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church participate in Episcopal Relief and Development's Diocesan Disaster Initiative.
